NEW PRODUCT RELEASE
360 Brake Company Begins Operations &
Introduces the Completely Redesigned 360
Brake
Indianapolis, IN (January 13th, 2008) - The 360
Brake Company is excited to announce the launch of this new company and
the introduction of its first and “super cool” product- the 360 Brake. In
October 2007, the 360 Brake Company acquired the patent (pending) to the
360 Brake from Baldwin-Wilson Development Company and has spent the past
98 days completely redesigning and testing this unique and amazing braking
technology. The 360 Brake System is the first and only compact,
completely self-contained braking system for motorcycles that mounts
around the axle and allows an unobstructed view of the bike’s wheels. The
360 Brake System utilizes a circular piston and pads activated by
hydraulic pressure to deliver 360° of braking power to the rotor. The 360
Brake Company just completed testing of the “Chopper Bike” Brake and will
begin taking orders from distributors and dealers soon.
The 360 Brake has undergone rigorous and demanding
testing, the testing protocol was reviewed, analyzed and approved by
braking and motorcycle experts. “We are motorcyclists and huge biking
fans, so quality and safety are important to us. We wanted objective,
quantifiable data on the stopping power of this brake, and we got it,”
explained Dale Needleman, the company’s President. “We also knew that we
wanted an independent third party expert involved in our testing protocol,
and to observe our testing. We contacted Russ of Russell Marlowe Custom Cycles
and asked him to be a part. Russell offered his installation expertise,
and his shop as home base. Russell worked with and installed the new
brakes, and was thrilled with the improvements. Russell Marlowe is one of
the top custom bike builders in America, Marlowe has also installed and
supported the previous model of the 360 brake on many occasions. He was
excited to participate in the new brake testing protocol. “I am excited
about the new design and will be offering the NEW 360 Brake to my
customers" he said. I will be debuting two new bikes on the Easy Rider show
circuit, and they will be on display at the V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati in
the 360 Brake booth.” Marlowe declared.
The 360 Brake Company hired engineers from the
Indianapolis and Motor Speedway areas with extensive knowledge and
experience in designing braking systems, for various racing applications.
The 360 Design Team was asked to completely redesign the 360 Brake to
include: 1) a wide safety margin, 2) more braking capacity, and 3) a
simplified installation process. The 360 Design Team also implemented a
testing protocol based around the FM VSS 122 DOT Test. After completing
these tests, Needleman expressed their utmost confidence in the product.
“We really wanted to get quantified data on the stopping power and the
heat dissipation of the brake” Needleman said. “After employing our new
designs and completing the rigorous testing protocol, the 360 Brake
performed extremely well, surpassing the testing protocol in some
instances by over 100%!”
360 Brakes will fit most custom and V-twin
configurations and is offered in polished, chrome and color anodized.
“Our new brakes can be adapted to most billet wheels on the market today,
and we are finalizing the design of a spoked wheel brake, which is very
cool to see without a braking disc blocking your view on the wheel
design,” stated Needleman.
New products are not the only things announced by
the 360 Brake Company. “This is a brand new company. We discarded the
bad, took the good, and have made it great. And it starts with customer
satisfaction,” stated Needleman. “The management team of this company
understands that customer support and product safety are the keys to our
success.
You have to see this brake to fully appreciate how
cool it is. The best part of the 360 Brake is that you don’t see it- you
see the bike’s wheel. Photos of the 360 Brake are available at its
